I tiled a fireplace wall and hearth about 11 years ago and am looking for matching tile (8) to add on to the hearth. The tiles are about 7-3/4" square and black with a grey detail to look a little like marble. I originaly bought them at Home Depot or Lowes and they no longer carry them. I don't have a manufacturer name and I don't know the correct terminology to descripe the tile. How do I describe this and are there any suggestions for a simple way to locate these without going store to store?
Thanks,
Steve

If you bought them at lowes that many years ago they were probably by TileCera which is Now Florim USA in Clarksville Tennessee.

If not they may have been from Midland Tile Works

Laufen use to make a product called Charleston Black.

And Summitville Tile also had a look like what you have

I do not know of anyone who may be presently making a tile like yours

it is possible you could find any of these three at a closeout broker like
Stovers in Cookville Tn www.Stovers.com
Tile mart in Michigan and Indiana www.tilemart.com
